Karen began her Atlee Hall career on September 25, 2000. She is a legal assistant who has helped many of the attorneys in our firm navigate their way through legal documents and filings.

As Karen reflects on the last twenty years with Atlee Hall, what stands out most to her are all of the clients that the firm has helped, especially in the midst of a stressful, life-changing event. She feels the firm has evolved greatly since she first started, not only the growth of the firm in terms of number of attorneys and staff, but also moving with the times to better help clients.  She also considers Atlee Hall a tight-knit group and almost a family. She has had the privilege of working with some wonderful, talented, knowledgeable people.

Her advice to anyone who is aspiring to become a legal assistant is to be able to multi-task in a stressful, fast-paced environment and to manage changes in work assignments and deadlines. Even though you think you have your workday planned out, it will often change at short notice.

Karen is originally from East Kilbride, Scotland (just outside Glasgow). She moved to Lititz, Pennsylvania at the age of nine. She served in the US Army from 1979-1985. She was active for four years and in the Reserves for two years. While active, Karen was stationed in Heidelberg Hospital in Germany as a dietician technician. This October, she will have been married to her husband, Greg, for 24 years and they have a Pennbrook Corgi named Sadie. Karen cares for her mom and is also an aspiring crafter who loves to make wreathes and floral decorations. She is a member of the Willow Street Lions Club and volunteers her time to their organization. Her favorite city is Charleston, SC.  She is most proud of her service to our country.

Atlee Hall Partner, Jaime Jackson, said: “20 years’ service is a milestone in any career. Karen is highly experienced and I would like to thank her for the support and loyalty she has shown the firm as we have grown together throughout the years.”

From everyone at Atlee Hall, we thank Karen for her service and dedication to not only our country, but our firm.
