Associate Attorney

We are currently seeking a talented, full-time associate to join our office in Lancaster, PA.

Ideally, the candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a civil litigation firm. The candidate should have an excellent academic record and aspirations of being a plaintiffs’ trial attorney, representing clients injured through medical malpractice and/or defective automobiles and products. We are committed to professional development and are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic candidate looking for a long-term career in the Lancaster area.

The candidate must have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the PA Bar. The candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and should be prepared to represent clients from start to finish, including conducting legal research, reviewing documents, drafting discovery, motions, complaints, preparing for depositions and helping to manage cases throughout all stages, in preparation for trial.

Paralegal

We are currently seeking a dedicated, full-time paralegal looking for a long-term career in Lancaster, PA.

The candidate will work closely with our attorneys and legal assistants on medical malpractice and/or defective automobiles and products cases, assisting with all aspects of case preparation and file management from commencement through to settlement or trial. The candidate will perform a variety of duties such as preparing legal documents, correspondence, discovery, depositions, and communicating with clients and experts, as well as exhibits and trial preparation. The candidate must be available to attend trials which may involve time away from home for periods of time where cases are tried outside of Lancaster.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and, ideally, 3 years of experience in a civil litigation firm dealing with medical malpractice. A Paralegal Certificate is preferred. The candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid experience with all phases of discovery, trial preparation, and be able to work to clear deadlines. The candidate should be comfortable working with large volumes of documents. Must be experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Prolaw and software such as Trial Director is preferred.
