Atlee Hall gets justice for deceased 72 year old after fall in hospital
Jeff Gutkowski recently helped an elderly widow obtain justice for her deceased husband, who fell as a patient in a hospital and suffered brain damage leading to his death. When the widow complained to the hospital about the fall, the hospital claimed that the brain damage and death resulted from a prior fall at home. That’s when the family called Atlee Hall. The Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority and the federal government consider patient falls to be preventable and have designated them to be “never events,” meaning they should never happen. Atlee Hall’s investigation confirmed that the hospital failed to take the necessary steps to prevent the husband’s fall and that the fall in the hospital – not the fall in the home- caused his brain damage and unfortunate death.
